Entrepreneurs are intelligent risk-takers

Entrepreneurs are calculated risk-takers. Just imagine starting a new innovation ...it's like jumping out of a parachute from a helicopter...you're not really sure where you're gonna land. But through Faith and an innate sense of optimism - the entrepreneur takes the Jump!

Entrepreneurs and PASSION

As a young entrepreneur, I am excited about my latest passion -  book writing and publishing.
I have invested sleepless nights, driven by the desire to complete my book project and  to do so within a set time frame, however, it really seems to be true that whatever can go wrong will. So, here are some of my findings from that experience, to help with warding off eventualities:

See if you can choose to do something you are passionate about, so that you can enjoy doing it 24/7 and  smile

Me, I believe we need to equip ourselves with excellent time-management skills, especially if you, like me, tend to procrastinate- do your tasks well ahead of due date.
I take  one step at a time, following a scheduled time-line, and as time flies by, so do the tasks.
Love your customers and aim to give value, above and beyond what is expected.
Enjoy the process, because you can never experience it again exactly. Don't miss the fun in the experience or it's hardly worth doing.SMILE!

Entrepreneurs in a highly competitive market, need to offer a unique experience

Michael Ammar Jnr and Judi Emanuel
Entrepreneurs like retailer, Michael Ammar maintain market share by offering value for  money, through quality products and comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience.
It was interesting to discover just how alert and aware of customer's needs and desires the entrepreneur has to be, in order to survive. Downtown Kingston is teeming with wholesale stores which bring in goods illegally and pass on huge savings to consumers. Mr. Ammar must successfully compete in this unfair and aggressive marketplace, or fold; like so many other stalwart businesses on King's Street- some over 70 years old.
Good luck young entrepreneurs as you seek that 'thing' which nobody else has and bring it to the market!

Innovation

Google is wildly innovative- The people who work there will tell you, innovation is in the air; in the spirit of the place.
" Google is open to new-product ideas from about any
source. What ties it all together is the company’s passion for
helping people find and use information. Innovation is the responsibility
of every Google employee. Google engineers are encouraged
to spend 20 percent of their time developing their own
new-product ideas. And all new Google ideas are quickly tested
in beta form by the ultimate judges—those who will use them.
According to one observer:"(Kotler, Philip, 2012).

I am in one accord with Google's modus operandi. I believe that to get the best performance from employees and persons in general, they must feel valued and their value must be encouraged and allowed to be integral to the product which is being created.
When a Google engineer is encouraged to spend 20% of his time developing his own new-product ideas, that communicates that he is recognized and appreciated and accepted for his full worth and not underutilized and 'held-back' into creative atrophy.
Then Google earns my respect even more, when I understand that they have a website where the public can test their half-baked innovations and provide feedback which decides what goes and what will be the next Google product...Wow! That develops strong Product Positioning with customers.
Until next Blog...Keep Innovating!

Excited entrepreneur!

I am an excited entrepreneur who can't wait to ditch school to dedicate more time to entrepreneurial passions. I live in the beautiful, fresh countryside where many are willing to work, but are often unemployed. One such member of my communinity made some artistic, coconut jewellery which I intend to endorse and make available for sale on my website.
As entrepreneurs, Creativity is not always/does not necessarily  mean our conceptualizing or producing ;  but  Creativity can be manifest in  our vision and ability to spot opportunities and come up with creative methods of promoting messages and ideas.Next Post, I'll show off the merchandise, so keep posted.
